TrainOf4.com is the single complete professional development resource relating to Anaesthesia, Critical Care, Resuscitation, Acute and Pain medicine for all healthcare related professionals. It is estimated that at least 4000 regional and national courses, conferences, workshops, seminars, symposia and meetings relating to the above specialties take place every year in various countries. There is no single resource available which can provide complete up to date information about their availability and content. TrainOf4.com will have a complete database which will be continuously updated to keep the information current. Trainof4.com is the brainchild of two Consultant Anaesthetists with interests in Pain Medicine and Critical care.

The easiest way to contact TrainOf4.com is through email. This can be accessed through the Contact Us link in the home page. If you are a course organiser, you can use the ‘submit course’ link to advertise your course

Searching an course 

The website can be used to search for any listed course anywhere in the world as long as they are related to Anaesthesia, Critical Care, Acute medicine or Pain medicine. The courses could be searched through two ways – a basic search or precision search.
Basic search
Just type any word relating to the course in the box and click . For e.g, you can type ‘ultrasound’ or ‘paediatric’ in the box. The list of available and relevant courses will be displayed in chronological order starting with the earliest available date. You may choose to list the course alphabetical order or by venue by choosing Sort By in the results table.

If there are too many courses, you can filter your results by clicking on the button which will take you to further options. For e.g., you can choose the country, city, date, minimum registration fee and subspeciality. If you want to know more about any displayed course, click the Details link in the bottom of the listing. Detailed information available about the course will be displayed. Click on the ‘Contact Details’ tab to get details about address for communication, phone, fax and email. Where available, a ‘Weblink’ will be provided which will take you straight to the course website.
Precision search
Precision search is like advanced search. One can easily narrow down the number of courses available by using different criteria given. There are 6 different categories with which you can narrow down the search with precision. Those categories are Speciality, Subspecialty, country, city, content, audience, course and registration fees. Each category have different drop down option, which you choose according to the need. This narrows down the result. The courses in the result pages can be sorted in alphabetical order, start date or City.

Downloading course calendar entry in ICS file format 

You can download calendar entries in the iCalendar format, which works with Microsoft Outlook 2003(some)/2007 and above(Unfortunately, some of Outlook 2003 releases and older are not supported), Windows Calendar, Windows Live Calendar, Google Calendar, Mozilla Sunbird, iCal, Yahoo Calendar and more. Use the application of your choice to import the .ics file that you just downloaded.

How do I advertise a course with trainOf4.com?

A course may be submitted by using the Submit Course link in the home page. It will open up an easy to fill proforma where the relevant details can be entered. The proforma itself has some help icons to assist the process. Once submitted, an acknowledgement will be sent. Once accepted, a reference number will be provided for future use if required.

Do I have to be one of the organisers of the course to submit?

NO, you need not be part of the organising team to submit the details about a course.

How much will it cost?

Is the site compatible with all web browsers?

The site is compatible with the most commonly used browsers worldwide i.e. Internet Explorer 7/8, AOL, Firefox, Opera, Safari and Google Chrome. The online course submission proforma does not function with Internet Explorer 6 or lower. If you are having difficulty with submitting a course online, please send the relevant details of the course to contactus@trainof4.com and we will include it.

How do I amend the details of the course after the submission?

If you need to amend any details of your course, please send us an email quoting the reference number and details of amendment.

How long will it take for the course to appear at the website after submission?

In general, the course should appear on the website within two working days if the required details are available. This period is required for the admin team to go through the details and maximise accuracy.

I am not sure whether I have already submitted my course. Can I submit it again?

If you are unsure, please submit it again. The system will recognise duplicate courses and automatically correct it.

Do I have to use different proforma for same course conducted on multiple occasions?

You will have to use a different proforma for different dates since the system is geared only to accept one set of dates each time. However, it is anticipated that the easy to fill proforma will make it easier to submit same course on multiple dates. Also, using the back button should take you to the previously filled proforma where only the dates can be altered.

What happens if I input the wrong details?

The system will not accept dates from the past. However, for the courses in future, it is the responsibility of the course organiser to ensure that details are accurate. Any errors can be notified through later contact quoting reference number provided or through error reporting. If somebody else reports an error, the organisers will be contacted to authenticate the accuracy details.

How far into future can I submit a course?

There is no limit on this. One can submit an course with basic details and update them at a later date (for e.g. a course in four years time when full details about the course will not be available).

How frequently is the site updated?

The site will be updated at least twice a week. The date of last update will be displayed in the home page.

The course I am organising will not have English as the main language. Will this be a problem?

Yes. Only courses with English as the main language will be included in this website.
